via Khmer Times, 03 March 2022: New book about wood architecture in Cambodia.
Siem Reap historian Daryl Collins has romanced Khmer traditional wooden houses since arriving in Cambodia in 1994 – he’s happily lived in wooden houses, lovingly restored them and even laboriously relocated one house from an island to the mainland.
Now he and Khmer architect and sidekick Hok Sokol have written about the dwellings in an illustrated book released this month titled, ‘Cambodian Wooden Houses: 1,500 Years of Khmer Heritage.’
