  1. Why? The beauty of Preah Vihear temple is that it is exactly the way it is after hundreds of years.
    One can sense the presence of the spirits of those who once inhabited it so long ago. I visited it about ten years ago and was moved by the sheer beauty of the location and the condition of the ruins.
    It doesn’t need to be put together again. The results could be disappointing,not to mention the inrastucture that would have to be built to get all the heavy equipment to the site. Roads would be
    built through the thick forest below and,presto,there go the trees.Among them would be the Siamese redwood which thrives in that area. There is a major market for it in China. Don’t be deceived by
    the claims of restoring…
